TimberTech Azek Deck with Cable Railing & RDI Privacy Fence
This project began with a full tear-out of an existing deck, railing, privacy fence, and surrounding shrubs, with the original framing preserved where it remained structurally sound. New pressure-treated framing was built on 40" deep post holes with 9"x15" concrete footers and 6x6 posts, with 2x10 joists set 16" on center. The decking surface was finished in TimberTech Azek Advanced PVC Harvest Collection Slate Gray, complete with a single border accent board, step riser boards, and a 1x8 fascia cover. Matching composite skirting in the same material was installed vertically along the front and right sides of the deck.
The railing system featured approximately 32 feet of black fine texture Westbury Bella Cavo Series aluminum railing with C90 horizontal cable infills, 1/8" stainless steel cable, 2-1/2"x2-1/2" posts, two-piece flair post base trims, and solar combo post cap lights on the two step railing posts. A 12' long by 6' tall matte black RDI Privacy Fence with Boardwalk Decorative Screen Panels and 2"x4" matte black aluminum posts was installed to complete the space.
